Mykolayiv CHP explained the cause of problems with the start of heat: There were 7 gusts on the heat lines

The Mykolaiv thermal power plant said that delays in the supply of heat to multi-apartment buildings occurred due to large gusts on the main pipelines of the heating lines.

Dmytro Miroshnichenko, director of CHP, told about this in a comment to NikVesti.

As of the morning of November 21, heat was supplied to only 37% of houses. The CHP is now starting to connect buildings from Slobidska 8 towards Sadova Street. However, a new accident occurred at the intersection of Pohranychna and 9-a Slobidska Streets, which led to delays in the supply of heat to the YUTZ district.

— 37% of houses were connected to heat as of this morning, and now we are starting to connect houses from Slobidska 8 towards Sadova Street. To date, we have eliminated all accidents and started connecting the consumer, and we had another accident at the intersection of Pohranychna and 9 Slobidska Streets. After the heat was started, 7 gusts occurred on all the heating lines, all of them large, on the main pipelines. Why is there such a delay in the supply of heat, because these are not shallow taps, but large main pipelines, — explained Dmytro Miroshnychenko.

Dmytro Miroshnychenko added that during the hydraulic tests conducted after the end of the previous heating season, 190 leaks were detected and eliminated — this is 50% more than last year. According to him, hydraulic tests are carried out with cold water, and where the defect did not appear in the cold, it appeared when heated during the start of heat.

— It remains for us to eliminate the last accident on Pohranychna, which occurred today. Heat will not be supplied to the «YUTZ» area until morning. Everything has been tested before, but the hydraulic tests are done with cold water. Then the heat is turned on, the water heats up, and the temperature expands both in width and length. And where the cold water could not push out the defect, which was hidden, it already flew out when it was hot. During the summer, we conducted hydraulic tests three times and exactly 190 accidents occurred, — he said.

Currently, the CHP continues its work to eliminate gusts and by the end of the day it is planned to supply heat to more than 70% of houses.

— If this area does not fall under the accident elimination area, then accordingly there is heat there. By 18:00 tonight, more than 70% will be connected. We will now launch the most densely populated district from 9 Slobidska to Sadova, — he summarized.

We remind that as of the evening of November 20, there were dozens of apartment buildings in Mykolaiv without heating. In several districts of the city, repair works of heating networks are ongoing.

As of the evening of November 21, there are still more than 400 apartment buildings in the city without heating.

It was previously reported that as of the evening of November 18, the Mykolaiv CHP company had connected half of the total number of consumers in Mykolaiv to heat.

We remind that in September, the CHP reported that it was 92% ready for the start of the heating season. The company only has to complete renovation work on two large areas.

In general, the 2023-24 heating season in Mykolaiv began on November 14. After that, Mykolaivoblteploenerho reminded the residents of the housing stock what to do in cases when heat is not supplied or the temperature does not meet the standards.

First Deputy Mayor of Mykolaiv Vitalii Lukov said that they plan to connect all residential buildings of Mykolaiv to heat in a few days. To do this, the employees of the CHP and regional thermal power plant are currently working on the elimination of surges.
