Residents of the Kherson Region, whose housing was damaged or destroyed due to Russian shelling, received more than 1.6 billion hryvnias for the restoration or purchase of new housing.
Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson RMA, told about this on the air of the telethon.
He noted that, in general, there are more than 30,000 objects damaged and destroyed by Russian ammunition in the Kherson region. Most of them, more than 28 thousand, are residential buildings.
«The most affected residential buildings, residential buildings mutilated by enemy shells, are 27,000 private houses and 1,200 high-rise buildings,» Oleksandr Prokudin said.
3,800 families of the Kherson region received payments for the restoration of housing, and more than 800 families received certificates for the purchase of a new one.
«About 1 billion 620 million hryvnias of compensation were received by people. In particular, 3,800 families received 634 million hryvnias to repair damaged houses, and about 800 families received certificates for the purchase of new housing for the total amount of almost 1 billion hryvnias,» the head of the RMA said.
We would like to remind you that from May 10, 2023, the compensation program for damaged housing «eVidnovlennia» will be in effect in Ukraine.
«eVidnovlennia» in Mykolaiv Oblast
In June 2023, Mykolaiv Oblast entered the top five oblasts, where the largest number of applications for the «eVidnovlennia» program were submitted. However, the region has the lowest rates of consideration of these applications. Therefore, the Ministry of Reconstruction called on the Mykolaiv commissions to speed up their processing: «This depends on the ability of the owners to receive assistance in the shortest possible time for the restoration of housing before the autumn and winter cold.»
However, already according to the general results of 2023, the Mykolaiv region entered the top five regions, which are the leaders in terms of the amount of compensation received for damaged property within the framework of the «eVidnovlennia» program.
As of September 2024, since the start of the «eVidnovlennia» program, residents of the Mykolaiv region have received a total of over 1.3 billion hryvnias in compensation for damaged and destroyed housing.
