In Yuzhnoukrainsk, the authorities are trying to solve the problem of excessive power outages due to an uneven distribution system.

This problem was discussed during the meeting of the mayor of Yuzhnoukrainsk Valerii Onufriienko with the trade union activist of the South Ukraine NPP.

As you know, the responsibility for the distribution of hourly shutdown schedules in the city is held by DPEM PrJSC Atomservice in coordination with Ukrenergo. Yuzhnoukrainsk is not included in the list of settlements where Mykolaivoblenergo forms graphs.

Residents of the city have repeatedly complained about frequent power outages. During the meeting, the mayor explained that the city government does not have a direct influence on the decision on the disconnection.

«Everyone shouts that the decision on disconnection depends only on me. I will say this, «AtomService» is not subject to the city council. If there are 6 queues per region and each district is a queue, then we have 6 queues,» said Valerii Onufriienko.

Mayor Valerii Onufriienko assured the citizens that he is using all resources to solve the problem: he is holding round tables with energy companies, sending appeals to Oblenergo and Ukrenergo.

In particular, the mayor mentioned Netishyn in Khmelnytskyi, which is a satellite city just like Yuzhnoukrainsk. However, residents there are provided with electricity.

«There have never been outages before (in Yuzhnoukrainskaya, note). According to our scheme, Netishyn also did everything in the Khmelnytskyi region, but they had time during the period of martial law,» adds the mayor of the city.

The city authorities even offered the dispatch center its own outage schedule, which will reduce daily electricity consumption by 1.7 MW and ensure an even distribution of outages.

Social workers also drew attention to the difficulties they face during shutdowns, in particular, the inability to provide children with food in kindergartens.

«In accordance with sanitary requirements, food in kindergartens is prepared three times a day. We don't have the right to come and cook for the whole day. The cooks come at 4 in the morning, although the working day is from 6, to prepare breakfast for the children and make preparations for lunch. Because lunchtime comes and the lights are turned off,» said an employee of one of the kindergartens of Yuzhnoukrainsk.

Valerii Onufriienko replied that the deputy corps is looking for an opportunity to allocate funds for the transfer of similar facilities to other power supply lines or the creation of reserve lines.

We will remind you that the executive committee of the Yuzhnoukrainsk City Council agreed to increase the cost of heating in the city. The new tariff will be effective from October 1 of this year.
