Emergency power outages continue in Kyiv and Prymorskyi districts of Odesa due to Russian attacks and damage to infrastructure. The city authorities are urging people to save money.

According to DTEK, the equipment has been severely damaged, making it difficult to supply electricity to all residents of these districts at the same time.

«Emergency power outages are currently in progress in Kyivskyi and Prymorskyi districts of Odesa. The equipment has been damaged and is currently unable to provide electricity to all residents of the affected areas at the same time. We are doing our best to provide electricity to everyone in turn and are working continuously to restore stable power supply», the statement said.

The city council, in turn, urged residents to conserve electricity, in particular to use powerful appliances during the day.

«In this regard, power engineers urge citizens to use energy sparingly and reasonably throughout the day. It is recommended to move the use of powerful electrical appliances to daytime hours — from 11:00 to 17:00. Saving electricity helps to avoid blackouts and helps the country's energy system», the city council website says.

Earlier it was reported that as a result of the Russian attack in Odesa, about 500 high-rise buildings in the Kyiv district, home to more than 250,000 people, were left without electricity and heat. The mayor's office hopes to restore everything within a day.

As a reminder, on the night of 19 February, air defence forces destroyed one enemy Shahed 131/136 drone over Mykolaiv region.
