On behalf of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, a message about the threat of a «particularly massive» missile attack on Ukrainian cities is being distributed today, but the information is fake.
This is reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
It is noted that the report on the shelling of Ukraine is false because it contains grammatical errors typical of Russian information and psychological operations.
«We urge you to trust information only from official resources and from the spokesmen of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Ministry of Education. The enemy, unable to subjugate the Ukrainians by force, resorts to measures of intimidation and psychological pressure on society. We ask you to be vigilant and persistent,» the message added.
It will be recalled that on the morning of November 20, the US Embassy in Ukraine announced that it had «specific» information about a possible massive shelling that could take place today. In this connection, the diplomatic institution will be temporarily closed.
By the end of the day, the embassies of Spain, Italy and Greece were also closed.
In addition, throughout the day, Telegram channels spread information about the possibility of an intercontinental ballistic missile attack on Ukraine. However, the authorities assure that such a threat exists every day.
Later, the GUR stated that Russia was spreading fake messages about the threat of a missile attack on Ukraine. In particular, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called the security warnings of the embassies in Kyiv «informational propaganda».
