12 dead in Poltava: rescuers continue to search for victims

As a result of a Russian missile strike on a five-storey building in Poltava on 1 February, the death toll has risen to 12 people: rescuers continue searching.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
As reported by the emergency service at around 11pm on 1 February, the death toll in Poltava has risen to 10 people.
«17 people were injured, including 4 children. 22 people were rescued», the statement said.
But 40 minutes later, rescuers added that the death toll in Poltava had risen to 11 (one person died in hospital).
On 1 February 2025, at around 8:30 am, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Poltava, hitting a five-storey residential building. The attack destroyed the entrance from the first to the fifth floor, started a fire, and damaged neighbouring houses and 12 cars. According to preliminary data, the attack was carried out by an X-22 missile.
