On the night of 3 January, the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant lost power to one of its high-voltage lines due to hostilities.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
The ministry noted that during the full-scale war, Russian shelling had repeatedly damaged ZNPP power lines, which caused 12 blackouts at the plant, the last of which occurred less than a month ago.
«In addition, Russia is deliberately disabling the energy infrastructure in the occupied territory and testing the connection of Zaporizhzhia NPP to its own power grid in the context of hostilities and occupation, the statement said.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine and Russia agreed to a local truce to repair the power line near the plant.
