The Executive Committee has increased tuition fees at art schools in Mykolaiv. Photo: architect.mk.uaTuition fees at art schools in Mykolaiv will increase from 1 September. They will depend on the course of study. Concessions have been provided for children of military personnel.
The relevant decision was adopted on 24 June by the Executive Committee of Mykolaiv City Council, according to NikVesti.
During the Executive Committee meeting, Yurii Liubarov, Head of the Culture Department, explained that the sector’s regulatory and legal framework had been updated. Proposals were also put forward by the directors of Mykolaiv’s art schools.
The new monthly fee has been set for the 2026–2027 academic year. The decision provides for additional concessions:
- 50% — for children of those who took part in combat operations during the ATO, a full-scale invasion or on the territory of other countries,
- 100% — for children of military personnel who were killed in action, died or went missing during the ATO or a full-scale invasion.
The draft decision of the Executive Committee states that, in accordance with the Law «On Extracurricular Education», children from large and low-income families, orphans or children deprived of parental care, and children with disabilities are entitled to free education.
From 1 September, the fees for attending art schools in Mykolaiv will be as follows:
- piano, guitar, singing, and the children’s art school — 800 hryvnias;
- string (bowed) instruments, wind instruments, percussion instruments, the choral department, bayan, accordion, domra, balalaika and bandura — 600 hryvnias;
- art department at children’s art schools and Children’s Music School №8 — 600 hryvnias;
- theatre department, choreography — 700 hryvnias.
As a reminder, during the Executive Committee meeting, a decision was taken to increase the tariff for household waste management services for the municipal enterprises «Mykolaivkomuntrans» and «Obrii-DKP». The new waste collection tariffs will come into effect on 1 July 2026.
