Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych took part in the Doing Business in Ukraine conference, which took place on September 25 in Washington.
As the Association of Cities of Ukraine reports, during his speech at the plenary panel «The role of mayors in restoration and reconstruction», he emphasized the problem of the lack of fresh water in Mykolaiv.
«Providing the city with water is a priority task after the Victory,» Oleksandr Sienkevych noted.
In addition, he noted that it is important to create conditions for learning, to provide children with protection.
The conference was organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov, Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boichenko and others spoke alongside Sienkevych.
It is noteworthy that Oleksandr Sienkevych himself has not yet officially spoken in detail about his visit to Washington.
