The delegations of Ukraine and the United States are holding a second round of talks on the so-called peace plan.

This was reported by «RBC-Ukraine», and «Interfax-Ukraine», citing sources in the Ukrainian delegation.

The Ukrainian side is represented in the talks by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Rustem Umerov. The US side is represented, in particular, by US President Donald Trump's adviser Jared Kushner and US Special Representative Steven Vitkoff.

The day before, Vitkoff announced that significant progress «had been made» in the negotiations.

«The representatives held in-depth discussions on the 20-point peace plan, economic programmes and other issues. Significant progress has been made, and they will meet again tomorrow morning», he wrote on social media platform X.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he was focusing on the issue of reliable security guarantees for Ukraine so that «the experience of the Budapest Memorandum and Russia's invasion would never be repeated».

As a reminder, during peace talks with the United States in Berlin, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy allowed for the possibility of Ukraine's refusal to join NATO.
