Zelensky warned that discussions about Greenland could distract attention from the war. The head of state made this statement during an online conversation with journalists, according to European Truth.
Zelenskyy stressed that any «distraction» during a full-scale aggression is dangerous.
«I am concerned about any loss of focus during a full-scale war. But I do not believe that these are interchangeable. That is, we have a full-scale war. And we have a specific aggressor. And we have specific victims. And here, the only option is to put pressure on Russia and strengthen Ukraine. There are no other tools to end the war,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
Zelenskyy emphasised Ukraine's respect for Denmark's sovereignty and territorial integrity and expressed his hope that all issues would be resolved diplomatically.
«We respect, I personally greatly respect Denmark and respect their sovereignty and territorial integrity. I really want America to listen to Europe, to listen in a diplomatic format. I think that this will happen and I truly believe that there will be no major threats,» the President of Ukraine concluded.
Earlier it was reported that during meetings with US President Donald Trump in Davos, European Union leaders are focusing not on security guarantees for Ukraine, but on the situation around Greenland.
