40 countries have already joined the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

This was stated by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reports Ukrinform.

«I want to thank you, dear partners, for all the help we receive from you. As for international efforts, 40 states are currently members of the international coalition. I hope that this number will constantly grow,» he said during the presentation of the special report «Overpollinated. Systematic Russian policy of destroying the Ukrainian identity of children».

Dmytro Lubinets called on foreign partners to intensify efforts to obtain information on the number and whereabouts of Ukrainian children who were deported to the Russian Federation or forcibly relocated within the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of Ukraine.

The ombudsman also reminded that President Zelenskyy's special plan «Bring Kids Back UA» had previously worked.

«This plan includes various bodies, including law enforcement, and special attention is paid to cooperation with civil society. As a result, together we managed to return 758 Ukrainian children from the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as from the TOT of Ukraine, as of today,» Dmytro Lubinets added.

It will be recalled that the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Robert Zile, stated that the Russification that took place during the Soviet era was not as terrible as the one carried out by the Russian and Belarusian regimes today, forcibly taking children from Ukrainian families and destroying their roots.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution calling on European politicians to make every effort to return Ukrainian children deported to Russia, as well as to help all children who are victims of this war.
