24 schools damaged by the Russians are planned to be restored in Mykolaiv Oblast

The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitalii Kim, said that 64 educational institutions are planned to be restored in the Mykolaiv region within the framework of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP, UNDP) project.

He said this during a visit to two lyceums of the Mykolaiv district, which were recently renovated, the Mykolaiv RMA reported.

He noted that within the framework of the «EU4UASchools-UA: Build Back Better» project, 24 institutions want to be renovated already this year.

In the restored lyceums that he inspected, classrooms, corridors, shelters, and facades were repaired. They also discussed the possibilities of expanding further cooperation for the purpose of recovery and development of the Mykolaiv region, including in the field of public safety, education and restoration of damaged infrastructure.

As a reminder, Mykolaiv city authorities plan to start 29 schools for full-time and mixed education from September, but the final decision must be made by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
