Mykolaiv RMA concluded a new contract for the repair of the hospital in Bashtanka: the amount increased to ₴314.2 million

At the end of August, the Department of Town Planning, Architecture, Capital Construction and Project Support of the Mykolayiv Regional Medical University concluded two contracts for the reconstruction of the buildings of the Bashtanka Multidisciplinary Hospital.

The total amount of concluded contracts is 314.2 million hryvnias, according to data from the ProZorro public procurement system.

It is about the reconstruction of the building of the medical building for 130.1 million hryvnias and the building of the polyclinic of the medical institution for 184 million hryvnias. They should be repaired by December 31, 2025. As explained to NikVesti in Mykolayiv RMA, the funds for the repair of two hospital buildings in Bashtankas were allocated from the state budget — from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

Prior to this, RMA had already announced a tender for the reconstruction of the building of the medical building and the polyclinic building of the Bashtanka Multidisciplinary Hospital in 2023. At that time, the total amount of work was 311 million hryvnias. However, journalists found out that the prices of construction materials turned out to be higher than market prices, and the State Audit Service of Ukraine conducted an inspection.

After that, Mykolayiv RMA terminated the contract with the contracting organization and announced two new tenders, the total cost of which increased by more than 3 million hryvnias — to 314.3 million hryvnias.

«This is primarily related to the changes in the norms regarding the arrangement of the shelter, the previous documentation was developed even before their adoption,» explained to NikVesti the increase in the cost of the reconstruction of the hospital in the Mykolaiv RMA.

So far, the contracts for the reconstruction of two buildings of the hospital have been awarded without competition by the company Pivdenbud Mykolaiv Ltd. Until 2012, the company belonged to Kateryna Berdnyk, the wife of Andrii Berdnyk, a former member of the Mykolaiv City Council from BYU. Then, for some time, this firm was registered to Maryna Prokofiieva, who was previously a partner of Andrii Berdnyk in the Spetsbudinvest Ltd. firm. In the end, the contractor was re-registered as Iryna Horbul, who was an accountant before that.

In total, since 2016, Pivdenbud Mykolaiv Ltd has received contracts worth more than 2 billion hryvnias, according to data from the YouControl analytical system.

Among other things, the company received contracts for the capital repair of the building of the Mykolaiv Professional College of Culture and Arts for 5.5 million hryvnias, the reconstruction of the Sonechko kindergarten in Kobleve for 46.3 million hryvnias, the repair of the building of the Mykolaiv Basic Medical College for 12.7 million hryvnias.
