Yachting is to be restored in Odesa region: NSDC to consider the issue

The Odesa Regional Military Administration has sent a package of documents to the Office of the President and the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine to make a decision on the resumption of yachting in the region.

This was stated by Deputy Head of the RMA Serhii Kropyva during the Freight Forwarders Updates 2025 event, «Interfax-Ukraine» reports.

He noted that it is currently difficult to predict when yachting can be resumed, but the UBA has already carried out the necessary work and submitted the relevant materials for approval.

Kropyva also recalled that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, many entrepreneurs asked the authorities to help them take their yachts out of Ukraine. Now, the issue of their return and the resumption of the industry requires a clear algorithm.

«We are working on it, we have sent the relevant materials and documents to the President's Office and the National Security and Defence Council to have a roadmap», the official said.

According to him, the issue was actively discussed with representatives of the Navy and the military.

Earlier it was reported that the Mykolaiv City Hall had set up a working group to inventory the property of the integrated children's and youth sports school «Atlant» and the berth where the boats are stored.

As a reminder, Mykolaiv plans to repair the building and boathouse of the sailing school «Regional Yacht Club», which were damaged as a result of one of the Russian attacks on the city.
