The winner of the tender has until December 7, 2024 to complete the renovation of the building.
They will also carry out a major repair of the boathouse — a hangar for storing boats. The works include replacing the roof, repairing the metal gates, and upgrading the downspouts and lighting.
Bidding for this tender took place on November 13. The only participant was the company «Thermo Bud Engineering» LLC, which received an order in the amount of 1 million 496 thousand 300 hryvnias. According to the data contained in the YouControl analytical system, this is the company's first tender in all the years of its existence. «Thermo Bud Engineering» was founded in Mykolaiv in 2016 by Oleksandr Hindiuk and until 2024 did not participate in public procurement.
Yacht Club in Mykolaiv
A few months before the full-scale war — in October 2021 — the government allocated 4 million hryvnias from the state budget for the development of a project for the reconstruction of the yacht club in Mykolaiv: a coastal recreation area and restoration of the historic building.
Back in September 2021, the head of the Mykolaiv regional state administration, Vitalii Kim, announced that money would be allocated from the state budget for the reconstruction of the yacht club, the Spartak water sports base, and two regional hospitals. A few days later, the regional council made changes to the budget for 2021 for the second time, which provided for the allocation of 6 million hryvnias for reconstruction projects of several objects, in particular the embankment at the yacht club.
Subsequently, entrepreneurs installed architectural structures on the territory of the yacht club — an art object in the form of a female silhouette, a sculpture dedicated to the Soviet cartoon characters «Crocodile Gena and Cheburashka», and also reconstructed a fountain with frogs, which is located near the Karabas restaurant.
The head of the regional state administration, Vitalii Kim, believes that the reconstruction of the regional yacht club should emphasize its history, and the placement of any sculptures or objects on the leased land should not be done according to the personal taste of the entrepreneur, but in agreement with the authorities. At the same time, he said that he is waiting for funding from the state budget to implement a large-scale reconstruction project of the yacht club, during which the arbitrarily placed sculptures and objects will be demolished.
And in the spring of 2019, the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, criticized the regional state administration for the state of regional facilities located on the territory of Mykolaiv. He expressed hope that the deputies who will be elected to the regional council after the elections in October 2020 will transfer the yacht club to the city and talked about plans to revive the Mykolaiv marina on the territory of the yacht club after it is transferred to the city.
At the same time, at that time, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Oleksiy Savchenko, stated that the yacht club must be transferred to the balance sheet of Mykolaiv, as «the regional government will not develop it.»
In December 2020, the then head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, Anna Zamazieieva, advocated the transfer of regional communal property objects to local communities, in particular, the Mykolaiv Yacht Club.
