The Russian Orthodox Church released the «Patriarchal Calendar», including the Mykolaiv bishops of the supposedly independent UOC MP

The Russian Orthodox Church has released the «Patriarchal Calendar» — the official publication of the Russian Orthodox Church, which includes all active bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, while the latter are described precisely as bishops of the Orthodox Church.

Among them were included three bishops of the Mykolaiv Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, writes NikVesti.

In particular, the Metropolitan of Mykolaiv and Ochakiv Pytyrym, Metropolitan of Voznesensk and Pervomaisk Oleksii, as well as Novobuzk Bishop, vicar of the Mykolaiv Diocese Varnava, were included in the «Patriarchal Calendar».

The corresponding illustrations of the pages of the patriarchal calendar were published by the Metropolitan of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Evstratii Zoria.

«In Moscow, the Patriarchal Calendar was released — the official publication of the Russian Orthodox Church, where all active bishops of the structure that calls itself the «independent UOC» — are described precisely as hierarchs of the Moscow Patriarchate. Has any of them officially and in writing denied/will deny their membership in the MP?» the Metropolitan wrote.

He also drew attention to the fact that neither Metropolitan Simeon (Shostatskyi) nor Metropolitan Oleksandr (Drabynka), who were previously hierarchs of the MP, are not in the calendar: «Because they, unlike those whose photos can be seen below, really broke their subordination to the Mospatriarchy».

The editors of Nikvesti sent a request for comment to the Mykolaiv Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate regarding their position regarding the inclusion of Mykolaiv bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MP) in the «Patriarchal Calendar» of the Russian Orthodox Church and are currently waiting for a response.

We remind, Mykolaiv People's Deputies almost unanimously supported the ban on religious organizations connected with the Russian Federation in the first reading, which can stop the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
