In 2024, it is planned to spend 64.1 million hryvnias from the Mykolaiv budget on the implementation of the Available Water program. This is stated in the relevant program for next year, writes NikVesti.
During the next year, these funds are going to be spent on the operation of water purification systems and the repair of the well, including the purchase of materials, spare parts and equipment.
At the same time, the program for 2024 provides for the maintenance of a larger number of water treatment stations, explained the deputy director of the Department of Housing and Communal Services Ihor Nabatov during the meeting of the Housing and Utilities Commission on December 20.
«This is our new Available Water program for 2024. In fact, it duplicates the 2023 program. The only thing that really changes here is the number of water treatment plants to which the program extends. This is the first. Second, an item related to wells is added. That is, now not only water treatment stations, but also well equipment will be maintained within the program. This is necessary due to the fact that a large number of wells were made in 2022 and the beginning of 2023. They also need to be kept,» explained Ihor Nabatov.
Currently, deputies are offered to adopt the Available Water program for 2024 at the session of the Mykolaiv City Council on December 23, and the decision on the allocation of its funding will be made separately.
We will remind that in June 2023, deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council approved the Available Water program on the second attempt. It was planned to allocate 37.6 million hryvnias from the city budget for its implementation in 2023. These funds were to be spent on the maintenance of reverse osmosis stations, of which there are currently 145 in Mykolaiv.
Mykolaiv Zoo was recently added to the program. It will receive funds from the city budget for maintenance, maintenance and repair of water treatment systems.
Earlier it was also reported that the water under the Available Water program is not potable.
At the same time, it was reported that since the beginning of 2023, Mykolaivoblteploenerho has provided citizens with drinking water for a total amount of 22 million hryvnias, however, as of October, it has not yet received compensation under the Available Water program, the director of the enterprise, Mykola Lohvinov, said.
At that time, the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the City Council reported that they expect that Oblteploenergo will be able to receive this compensation already in November. However, this did not happen in November.
