In the Mykolaiv region, they plan to increase the number of shelters in schools so that students can return to offline learning.

As the head of Mykolaiv RMA Vitalii Kim announced during the telethon, foreign partners will be involved in the construction of shelters.

Vitaly Kim noted that now about 72-79% of schools in the region work in a mixed format. However, some institutions cannot open due to the lack of shelters, which are necessary to protect children during threats.

«I don't remember the exact numbers, but about 72-79% of schools are currently working in a mixed format, but we want to increase the number of schools by the end of the year. I personally do not visit educational institutions, so as not to highlight which of them work offline. In particular, we have schools and kindergartens that do not have shelters, so they could not open. We are currently working with foreign partners to build shelters in some schools and start the educational process. Because parents are contacting us and they really want their children to attend offline education as well,» said Vitalii Kim.

Where in the Mykolaiv region is there a full-time education?

We will remind that more than 300 schools in the Mykolaiv region wanted to start education in full-time or mixed form. However, after specialized inspections, their number halved.

57 educational institutions were allowed to work offline in the Mykolaiv region. Most of them are schools of Voznesensk and Pervomaisk districts. In addition, 94 schools work mixed, that is, children study offline in a certain sequence, for example, one week after another. Another 277 educational institutions work online.

It was also possible to organize an offline educational process in front-line Ochakiv, which is still in the zone of damage by enemy anti-aircraft missiles. There is a mixed form of education.

According to the monitoring of the Department of Education of the Mykolaiv City Council, 65% of schoolchildren want to study full-time.
