The use of Telegram was restricted for employees of Kherson RMA

The Kherson Regional Military Administration has restricted the use of the Telegram messenger for official purposes.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson RMA, signed the relevant order.

According to it, employees are prohibited from transmitting work information and carrying out official communication through Telegram. In addition, it is forbidden to install the Telegram client and its web version on work computers.

However, the order defined the list of administration employees who were allowed to use the Telegram messenger in official activities.

The implementation of the order will be monitored at least once a month.

We will remind that on September 20, the National Cyber Security Coordination Center decided to limit the use of Telegram in state authorities, military formations, and critical infrastructure facilities. An exception is made only for those for whom the use of the messenger is part of official duties.

Earlier, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, called the Telegram messenger a threat to the national security of Ukraine.

The founder of the service, Pavlo Durov, stated that Telegram aims to maintain neutrality and not become a «player in geopolitics».
