Mykolaiv Olympic champion Olha Kharlan is returning to the fencing track and will take part in the Grand Prix, which will be held in Orleans, France.
This is reported by the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
Olha Kharlan announced her participation in the first tournament after winning awards at the 2024 Games in Paris. The fencer will take part in the Grand Prix, which will be held in French Orleans from December 5 to 7.
«Don't be afraid to return to what sets your heart on fire!» Olha wrote in a post on her Instagram page.

An athlete in 2024, Harlan won a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris, becoming the first Ukrainian athlete to win medals at four different Olympics in her career.
In addition to her sporting achievements, Olha is actively engaged in charitable activities. So, in August 2024, her saber was sold at a charity auction for 10 million hryvnias. And in October 2024, the saber with which the athlete delivered the winning blow in the final of the Olympic Games in Paris in the team competition was sold at a charity auction.
The athlete also has state awards. In August 2024, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Olga Harlan the title of «National Legend of Ukraine». Also, Mykolaiv fencer Harlan was awarded the «Cross of Honor» from the SSU.
In November of this year, Olha Kharlan announced the opening of a fencing school for children in Ukraine.
