Almost 4,900 objects have been restored in the liberated territories of Kherson region, including residential buildings, schools, hospitals and critical infrastructure.
The head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, announced this on 29 December.
«Kherson region suffers from Russian shelling every day. Despite this, we are making every effort to ensure that the process of restoring the region does not stop», he said.
It is noted that the state has allocated funds for reconstruction, and the government initiative «eVidnovlennia» has given people the opportunity to receive compensation for damaged or destroyed property. Under this programme, residents of Kherson region have already received more than two billion hryvnias.
Earlier it was reported that residents of rural areas of Mykolaiv region who receive compensation for destroyed houses under the «eVidnovlennia» programme are increasingly leaving their villages and moving to cities or other regions.
