Mykolaivpassrans needs 120 more employees to put 26 more buses on the road in Mykolaiv

In 2026, KP «Mykolaivpastrans» plans to expand its staff. The number of employees may increase from 164 to 271, or by almost 120 people.

This was announced at a meeting of the planning and budgeting commission of the city council by Dmytro Teslenko, director of the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivpastrans», NikVesti reports.

Most of the new employees will be drivers — 98 people. The company also plans to hire 4 cashiers and 4 vehicle release mechanics. The rest will be service staff.

The increase in staff is justified by plans to launch 26 new buses on city routes. The company's financial plan for 2026 was developed with this in mind.

The total expenditure of «Mykolaivpastrans» in 2026 is planned at 280.9 million hryvnias. The largest item of expenditure is salaries and wages: over 161 million hryvnias in total. The company's own revenues are estimated at 94.2 million hrynvnias, and another 186.6 million hryvnias is requested to be compensated from the city budget.

«I would like to note that these calculations are made taking into account the receipt by the utility company and the launch of 26 new buses on city routes, as well as a progressive increase in the number of drivers and some positions of our company's service personnel,» said Dmytro Teslenko.

It is worth reminding that over 9.3 million passengers used buses in Mykolaiv in the first 11 months of 2025. According to Dmytro Teslenko, director of KP «Mykolaivpastrans», in 2025 the company managed to overcome the shortage of drivers, which allowed it to increase the number of buses on its routes from 21 to 38.

As you know, in September, a batch of 10 buses intended for the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivpastrans»arrived in Ukraine.
