Kim predicts an end to the war in Ukraine and expects investors to arrive this year

He also said that he expects many investors to arrive after that.
He made this statement in an interview with journalist Nataliia Moseichuk.
According to Vitalii Kim, Ukrainian society is currently in a state of deep fatigue, but at the same time feels that peace is closer than ever before.
«The beginning of 2026 is like a Rubicon. Year after year, people have been saying, 'Here we go, here we go! Now, in terms of time, we have already exceeded the duration of the Great Patriotic War... Although I said that we would have a period of adrenaline, then a period of monotonous work, then people would say: 'That's it, I can't, I don't want anything. It's over,' — that time is now. And that's when the decision will be made,» he believes.
He also warned that the price of stopping the war would be extremely high, and the responsibility for this decision would fall on all citizens.
«The price of stopping will be heavy. Because on the other side sits the KGB thug... We will all bear this responsibility because we don't have much choice. And if anyone thinks that it won't affect them, it will affect everyone,» adds Vitalii Kim.
Vitalii Kim also drew attention to the threats that may arise after the end of hostilities. In his opinion, Russia will try to destabilise Ukraine and invest money in politics to create problems in the future.
Speaking about the future, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration expects that after the war in Ukraine ends, a large-scale recovery phase will begin, which could be a unique opportunity for the country's development.
«From 2026, I expect the war to end, elections to be held, and the Marshall Plan for Ukraine to be implemented. In other words, we will have one chance when all investors and money will come to Ukraine — at least to see what can be made from it. When the war is going on, it is dangerous, but when it ends, everyone will come. Everyone remembers that during post-war reconstruction, everyone gets rich because there is money in the world — it is conditionally free and needs to be invested somewhere,» said the head of the region.
At the same time, he stressed that Ukraine must use this moment as effectively as possible, avoiding corruption and bureaucratic failures.
—We must not miss this opportunity in terms of work and corruption. We must not let them come and go. We must use this opportunity and grow,» says Vitalii Kim.
Earlier, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, stated that he is indeed considering participating in the elections when they can be held in Ukraine. At the same time, he did not specify which elections he was referring to: presidential, parliamentary or local.
In turn, the deputy head of the Central Election Commission, Serhii Dubovyk, said that in order to hold safe and fair elections in accordance with international standards, Ukraine needs at least six months to prepare.
