After almost two years of repairs to the heating pipeline, traffic on Pogranichna Street in Mykolaiv has now been reopened in both directions. However, the road surface on the odd-numbered side of the street now needs to be repaired.
This was announced during an open staff meeting on 6 April, according to NikVesti.
Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych noted that the Mykolaiv Thermal Power Plant had completed repairs to the heating pipeline, so traffic had been restored. He asked for the kerbs and the boulevard sections of the street to be repaired.
In addition, on the odd-numbered side of the street, where there used to be two-way traffic, potholes have formed and the asphalt has subsided.
«Now that we’ve reopened Pohranychna Street, the section that used to have two-way traffic also needs to be repaired. There are now large potholes there. We need to clear it up: there’s a lot of sand that’s accumulated since winter,» said the mayor.

However, a similar decision was subsequently adopted for the section from Sadova Street to 9th Slobidska Street. The repairs were carried out by the Mykolaiv Thermal Power Plant.
