A new trolleybus route, №14, will begin operating in Mykolaiv from 28 April, running along the route «Mykolaiv-Vantazhnyi — Kazarskyi Street».

This was announced by Yurii Smetana, director of the municipal enterprise Mykolaivelectrotrans, during a live broadcast on Facebook.

«We are very pleased that we will be able to extend electric transport coverage to even more parts of the city, and also that residents in eligible categories will be able to take advantage of all the benefits offered by Mykolaiv City Council,» said Yurii Smetana.

It should be noted that the trolleybuses will run along the following route: Pryvokzalna Square — Arkasivska Street — Tsentralnyi Avenue — Kherson Highway — Kruhova Street — Troitska Street — Elektronna Street — Oleksandr Yanata Street — Kazarskyi Street.

It should be recalled that prior to this, the route had been operating in test mode.

Previously, residents of the Kazarskyi neighbourhood in Mykolaiv had appealed to the city authorities to introduce a municipal bus service. People complain that the only minibus, №89, runs irregularly, and that after 6 pm it is almost impossible to get home.
