As of the morning of 4 May, there are power cuts across Ukraine due to enemy attacks. Damage to the power grid has been reported in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions. Power companies are carrying out repairs where safety conditions permit.

This was reported by Ukrenergo.

Energy officials noted that electricity consumption in Ukraine has fallen. This is attributed to warmer weather.

«As of 9:30 am on 4 May, consumption was 14.7% lower than at the same time on the previous working day — Friday. The reason for the changes is the rise in air temperature across Ukraine, which has reduced consumers’ use of electric heaters. Clear weather in all regions is also a factor. This enables domestic solar power stations to operate efficiently and reduces energy consumption from the main grid,» Ukrenergo reported.

The company also noted that yesterday, 3 May, a daily peak in consumption was recorded. It was 2% lower than the peak of the previous Sunday — 26 April — due to warmer weather across all regions.

As a reminder, the Cabinet of Ministers has extended the mechanism for imposing special obligations on the electricity market until the end of October 2026. This means that the current electricity tariff for the public remains in place.
