Russian rebels fighting on the side of Ukraine will continue raids on the border territories of the Russian Federation.

This was stated by the head of the Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, in an interview with The Washington Post.

He said that military intelligence has a plan aimed at reducing the military potential of the Russian Federation.

«We proposed a plan aimed at reducing Russian potential. It covers many aspects, such as the military industry, critical military facilities, their airfields, their command and control points,» said Kyrylo Budanov.

He explained that more cross-border attacks by Russian volunteers inside Russia with the support of the MDI are planned, as well as more drone attacks.

The purpose of these actions is to show that the Russian dictator Putin cannot «protect the population from the penetration of war into Russia».

«When you sit, say, in St. Petersburg, and see the war only on TV, you will always support. But people start to get nervous when some object is (attacked) near their house,» noted Kyrylo Budanov.

The head of the MDI noted that during drone attacks on Russian cities, most of the damage and destruction is caused not by the drones themselves, but by the S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, which the Russians are trying to use to shoot them down.

To a clarifying question, whether Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory will continue, Budanov replied: «I hope so».

It will be recalled that the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov called the situation at the front «complicated, but controlled». According to him, by the end of spring, Ukraine is expecting an intensification of Russian offensive actions.
