Photo: Mykolaiv Regional Military AdministrationVitalii Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, believes that the appointment of the new Head of the President’s Office has brought positive momentum and attention to the region.
He made these comments in an interview with the publication «Ukrainian News».
Responding to journalists’ questions about how cooperation with the President’s Office had changed following the appointment of Kyrylo Budanov, Vitalii Kim said that working with the central government had become more effective.
«You know, I’ll put it this way: I work within the system. That is to say, there are deputies, departments, offices, and people who have been working there for 10–15 years. With Budanov’s arrival, there has been a more constructive approach. It has become a little easier to justify projects, and there is more attention being paid to the region,» said Vitalii Kim.
Kyrylo Budanov became head of the Office of the President of Ukraine on 2 January. In this role, he succeeded the former head of the Office of the President, Andrii Yermak, who resigned in November 2025. This took place against the backdrop of searches carried out by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), following which the head of the Office of the President, Andrii Yermak, submitted his resignation.
