Most Ukrainians believe that Russia can be defeated militarily.
This is evidenced by the survey data of the Razumkov Center, conducted from June 20 to 28, 2024, commissioned by ZN.UA.
As part of a sociological study, Ukrainians were asked the question: «Do you think a military victory for Ukraine in the war with Russia is possible?».
It should be noted that 66% of Ukrainians believe in a military victory over the Russian Federation. While 16% have the opposite opinion, and 18% are undecided.
The West, which is least ready for negotiations with Russia, believes most in victory by military means. There are 69% of such respondents.
And the south doubts the military strength of Ukraine the most. In particular, 25% of residents of this region do not believe in military victory over the enemy.
The survey was conducted from June 20 to 28, 2024. In total, 2,007 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed. The theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.
Previously, 83% of Ukrainian citizens answered that they do not agree to the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the territory of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions within their administrative borders. These conditions, ostensibly to end the war, were previously announced by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
We will remind you that more than half of the citizens believe that a peace agreement with the Russian Federation can only be concluded by completely de-occupying the territory of Ukraine.
