head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration

Oleksandr Prokudin heads the Kherson Regional Military Administration, as of August 2026. He was born on 22 July 1983 in Mykolaiv, took charge of Kherson Oblast on 7 February 2023 and earlier led the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson Oblast. In August 2026, after another strike on the Kherson combined heat and power plant, Prokudin urged residents of Kherson to leave the city if they could. He has proposed a territorial defence headquarters in Kherson to train and arm volunteers against drones, and confirmed he initiated the dismissal of former Kherson city military administration head Roman Mrochko.

MykVisti covers his statements, Russian drone attacks on Kherson and the region, the return of children from occupation and anti-drone nets over roads.
