Mykolaiv’s city video surveillance system

Safe City is Mykolaiv’s city video surveillance system, whose cameras help the police solve crimes. Over five years ₴60.7 million has been spent on it. As of August 2026 the system had 701 cameras, 124 of them not working. Due to a lack of funds, the programme was extended until 2028, and in October 2026 contractors began refusing to work on the system because of funding delays.
