Losses in this topic mainly mean damage from Russia's war: destroyed housing, utility networks and businesses, polluted land and air. According to KSE Institute, as of December 2023 Mykolaiv's losses reached almost €900 million, and as of March 2024 the region's infrastructure had lost $5.6 billion. In July 2026 alone, shelling caused more than UAH 817 million in damage to the region's air.
