The approximate amount of damages from the Russian attack on the Mykolaiv Drama Theater is more than ₴20 million

The estimated amount of damages as a result of the Russian attack on the Mykolaiv Academic Art Drama Theater amounted to more than 20 million hryvnias.

The director of the theater, Artem Svystun, emphasized that until now, almost a year after the attack, it is not possible to name the exact amount of damages, the correspondent of «NikVesti» reports.

This is due to the fact that to this day, during the repair and restoration of the drama theater, workers find moments from which the amount constantly increases.

— When we recovered after September 22, there was the first summary, which showed an approximate amount of 10 million hryvnias. This is exactly the damage to the building. When we turned to the design and estimate documentation, we realized that only 8 million were damaged windows, roof and doors. When we turned to our boiler room, where two boilers were completely destroyed, more than 4 million more were found. Therefore, the final amount of damage caused by the missile attack is not available yet, — he said at the briefing.

As you know, on September 22, 2022, the Mykolaiv Academic Art Drama Theater suffered from a Russian attack. The 19th century architectural monument was hit by an enemy S-300 missile.
