Restoration of the destroyed building on Admiralska Street in Mykolaiv will cost ₴41 million

41 million hryvnias are needed to rebuild the dilapidated building at 32 Admiralska Street in the center of Mykolaiv. In 2025, only 53 thousand hryvnias are planned for these works.

This is evidenced by the data of the materials for the draft budget of Mykolaiv for 2025, reports NikVesti.

The basis of the project is a complete reconstruction, and not a capital repair, in order to improve the characteristics of the building, the Department of Housing and Communal Affairs of the City Council previously informed the publication.

«You saw that there is no fourth entrance there at all. And the other three, which seem to be there, are quite damaged. All internal equipment, let's say, must be designed and made anew: both the floor, and the beams, and the roof,» Artem Sapozhnyk, Deputy Director of the Department of Housing and Housing, explained earlier to NikVesti.

The destroyed building at 32 Admiralska Street

The building at 32 Admiralska Street was partially destroyed on the night of July 20. Then the Russian army launched a missile attack on Mykolaiv — as a result of the hit, a three-story residential building was destroyed. An elderly couple died in the house. First, a man's body was taken out from under the rubble, and a little later, a woman's body was pulled out.

Until recently, the authorities planned to demolish a building in the center of Mykolaiv. The locals were categorically against dismantling, because they were sure that the technical report would show a positive result in their favor. Therefore, they asked the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the City Council to install a temporary roof over the house during the cold season in order to prevent the complete destruction of the building. Later, the department explained that this was impossible due to the lack of expertise.

At the same time, as NikVesti previously wrote, in October 2023, some of the residents of the building continued to receive utility bills. After that, utility service providers were asked to stop charging people debt.

In November 2023, it became known that the building at 32 Admiralska Street is subject to restoration. This result was shown by an independent examination, which was independently ordered by the residents of the house.

Subsequently, it became known that 1 million hryvnias will be allocated from the budget of Mykolaiv for the development of the project for the reconstruction of the dilapidated building at 32 Admiralska Street.

And after that, the Department of Housing and Urban Development concluded a contract for the development of the reconstruction project with the company «Arch Design».
