President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the extension of general mobilization and martial law for another 90 days, until November 9.

This is indicated in the cards of laws №11433 and №11434 on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

The new conditions will come into effect on August 12. This is the 12th extension of martial law and mobilization since their introduction on February 24, 2022, when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

We will remind you that the National Security and Defense Committee recently supported draft law 11379-d, which prohibits the mobilization of youth aged 18 to 25.

What about the mobilization in Mykolaiv Oblast?

As you know, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia , employees of the territorial recruitment centers (TCC) in the Mykolayiv region have filed almost 5 thousand reports on the search for people who are evading military service.

From May 20, conscripts will have the opportunity to update their military registration data in the units of the administrative services department in Mykolaiv. During the first month of operation, 163 people applied to the Mykolaiv recruiting center of the Ukrainian army. Of them, 129 are men and 34 are women.

According to Vitalii Kim, the Mykolaiv region is the leader in terms of the pace of mobilization in Ukraine. In particular, the representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights, Dmytro Lubinets, believes that there are no serious violations of human rights in the region during mobilization activities.

Vitalii Kim said that women began to master new professions in order to satisfy the existing demand of critical infrastructure facilities and utility companies.

In total, during the full-scale war, 33,000 residents of the Mykolaiv Oblast were mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces. During the two years of the invasion , almost 800 criminal proceedings against evaders were opened in the Mykolaiv region.

Earlier, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, stated that draft dodgers do not have the right to a full life and entertainment, at a time when the soldiers of the Armed Forces are fighting to defend Ukraine. He believes that money should not be the main motivation for protecting the state. In his opinion, the motivation for serving in the army should be sincere patriotism, because only in this case it is possible to claim unconditional love for the homeland.
