Since the beginning of the full-scale war, international partners have helped to update about 70% of the specialized equipment of the Mykolaivcommuntrans utility company.

«We received 17 units of modern equipment for waste collection and transportation. It's like garbage trucks, dump trucks, excavators. We received 16 units for the landfill where household waste is buried: bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, a fire engine and a water tank. In addition, we received 7 garbage trucks, 7 dump trucks, 6 portal garbage trucks and 6 street vacuum cleaners for mechanical street cleaning,» Maksym Dedus said.

The new equipment is more ecological and more economical in terms of fuel costs, the deputy director said, because it meets Euro-5 and Euro-6 environmental standards. «That is, emissions into the atmosphere are generally minimal,» he clarified.

At the same time, modern technology has made it possible to improve working conditions for the company's employees, Maksym Dedus shared.

«We got cool new cars. They are at least equipped with air conditioning. In previous cars, this is so, for comparison, when it was 35-40 degrees Celsius outside, it reaches 65-70 degrees Celsius in the cabin. It was necessary to work under these conditions,» he said.

In general, today the fleet of the Mykolaivcomuntrans utility company has about 80 units of specialized equipment, the deputy director said.

«As for the direct removal of the waste itself, out of these 80, about 60 units are involved. These are garbage trucks with different types of loading. Now we are planning to launch more portal loaders, which are used for the removal of tanks for large-sized garbage,» he said.

We will remind you that during the two and a half years of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the Mykolaiv Parks communal enterprise, which is engaged in tree trimming and landscaping in cities, updated its equipment for 35 million hryvnias. At the same time, the company plans to purchase five more units of specialized cleaning equipment in 2025.
