The International Medical Corps has delivered three more repaired ambulances to Kherson region. The vehicles were damaged by Russian shelling.
As noted by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the number of damaged ambulances in the region has increased to almost 40.
«Thanks to the Organisation's specialists, the ambulance was repaired and «put back into service». Five of these vehicles have already been restored, and two more are currently under repair.» In total, the benefactors have already restored 12 damaged ambulances,» said Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Medical Association.
It is reported that the transfer of repaired vehicles is part of a comprehensive cooperation between the Kherson Regional Military Administration and the International Medical Corps. It provides systematic support for the region's medical sector. This includes providing hospitals with food, hygiene products, and access to drinking water.
Earlier it was reported that the European Union and UNDP had handed over 16 ambulances to Ukraine. The specialised vehicles have been sent to eight regions, including Mykolaiv and Kherson.
