Almost ₴929 million to be spent on road maintenance in Mykolaiv region

The Mykolaiv region plans to spend almost 929 million hryvnias on the operational maintenance of local roads. The works will cover roads with a total length of 3.3 thousand kilometres.

According to the Prozorro public procurement system, the contractor is the State Enterprise «Local Roads Agency of Mykolaiv Region».

The bulk of the work will take place after winter and spring, when road conditions usually deteriorate due to waterlogging and road surface destruction.

According to the terms of reference, the funding will cover levelling the road surface, strengthening roadsides, repairing gravel bases, cleaning bridges, repairing potholes and milling asphalt concrete. Separate measures are envisaged to combat the effects of natural disasters and ensure traffic during adverse weather conditions.

The works will cover road sections in the following areas:

Regional highways:

• 835.3 km in Bashtanka district,

• 648.4 km in Voznesensk district,

• 678.9 km in Mykolaiv district,

• 505.1 km in Pervomaisk district.

District roads:

• 178.1 km in Bashtanka district,

• 143 km in Voznesensk district,

• 189.7 km in Mykolaiv district,

• 134.2 km in Pervomaisk district.

The warranty for the works performed: pavement (except for temporary and winter works) — 1 year; road signs — 7 years; transverse markings — 8 months, longitudinal markings — 12 months; barrier fencing — 10 years.

According to the contract, the works will last until 21 May 2026.

The Mykolaiv Oblast Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service will spend 811 million hryvnias until 2027 on the operational maintenance of public roads of national importance, including two bridges in Mykolaiv — Varvarivskyi and Inhulskyi.
