Oleksandr Sienkevych supported the mayors of the cities who appealed to Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding the protection of Ukrainians from the rapid increase in tariffs, the disruption of the heating season, and the preservation of reversionary funds in local budgets in 2025.

The mayor of Mykolaiv writes about this in social networks.

He says that Mykolaiv does not have a reverse subsidy, but in the 2025 state budget project, they are trying to withdraw 4% of personal income tax from citizens, which is 153 million hryvnias, and the single tax is 63 million hryvnias.

«I believe in the wisdom of the Ukrainian Parliament and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy,» Oleksandr Sienkevych added.

As reported by the «Association of Cities of Ukraine», 68 people's elected representatives appealed to the Deputy Prime Minister for recovery issues to preserve the funds of the reversion in the budgets of communities, however, the People's Deputies of Ukraine systematically oppose this position of the Government.

In their appeal, community leaders substantiated the need to preserve funds for the reversion in community budgets and offered a source for this in the draft State Budget, an additional (non-basic) subsidy that was unjustifiably increased for next year.

«All of us supported Ukraine's Victory Plan and are doing everything for our common Victory. The sustainability plan requires strong communities and the preservation of reverse subsidy funds in local budgets, only in this way will we be able to jointly strengthen Ukraine and ensure maximum unity within the state,» the appeal reads.

We will remind you that the Planning and Budget Commission of the Mykolaiv City Council recommended submitting to the session a draft decision on redistribution of budget expenditures for 2024.

Also, deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council supported the redistribution of the budget for 2024, which is expected to increase revenues by 181 million hryvnias.
