Finland to provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth almost €200 million

Finland will provide Ukraine with military assistance worth almost 200 million euros, photo: apostrophe.uaFinland has provided Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 198 million euros. This is the 27th batch of military equipment from Helsinki.
According to the Ministry of Defence of Finland, the decision was made by the country's president on 31 January on the proposal of the government.
«This package, worth almost 200 million euros, was developed in close cooperation with Ukrainians. We are providing exactly the kind of support that will help Ukraine defend itself in the acute situation at the front», said the Minister of Defence of Finland Antti Hakkänen.
Due to security concerns, details on the content, method and timing of the supply are not disclosed.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Finland has provided military assistance to Ukraine worth 2.5 billion euros.
The United Kingdom will also provide Ukraine with up to two billion pounds for the purchase of air defence systems and missiles for them. This is approximately $2.5 billion.
