In Mykolaiv, American artists created two murals on the walls of destroyed buildings.

This was reported by Channel 5 correspondents.

The artists came to Ukraine for the first time last year and painted the walls of houses in Irpin, Bucha, Kharkiv and Izium. This year, they already managed to visit Donetsk region, Odesa and Mykolaiv.

«The works we create are about Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. They are created to support people and create new memories in their minds. Mykolaiv is a very important and beautiful place in Ukraine. This is the city that held back the Russian attack. We would very much like to visit Mykolaiv and create two wonderful works,» said Kateryna Tymchenko, coordinator of the «Stable Colors» project.

The composition, which depicts blue and yellow sneakers, emphasizes that Mykolaiv is a Ukrainian city and everyone who was forced to leave it will definitely return.

«We want to create new memories for people who defend Ukraine at the cost of their lives. We create murals in different cities, near playgrounds, on crushed buildings and in places where there are the most people. We do this in order to support them and bring joy to their lives,» said filmmaker Tristan Jordan.

After Mykolaiv, the artists plan to go to Kherson.

We will remind you that in Mykolaiv, seven authors presented the city with a new mural not far from the «Heart of the City» square. The authors of the mural were: Olena and Dmytro Voloshyn, Kateryna Volynets, Olena Polishchuk, Alina Kosova, Antonina Lemeshko and Svitlana Pashkovska. They note that the idea is that in the dark times of war, we want a little light, good, so that it brings joy to people and a little escape from the situation in which we live now.
