Two defenders from Mykolaiv region have returned from Russian captivity.
This was reported in the coordination headquarters on the treatment of prisoners of war.
As you know, today, 19 March, 175 Ukrainian soldiers returned from Russian captivity.
According to the coordination headquarters, the defenders from Mykolaiv region took part in the fighting in the Kursk region.
It should be noted that another 22 defenders are returning home through measures outside of exchanges. Among them are severely wounded soldiers and servicemen illegally persecuted by Russia. All those released will be provided with emergency medical and psychological assistance.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia in the 175-for-175 format, which was discussed during a telephone conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
As a reminder, in February this year, 25 Mykolaiv marines defending Mariupol were released from Russian captivity.
