«Mykolaivelektrotrans» has spent ₴3.4 million on glass since the start of the year

Municipal Enterprise «Mykolaivelektrotrans», photo by NikVestiSince the start of 2026, the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivelektrotrans» has purchased glass worth 3.4 million hryvnias.
This is according to data from the BI Prozorro analytical monitoring system, NikVesti reports.
Since the start of the year, the company has announced tenders for the purchase of glass twice. The first was in April for 2.1 million hryvnias. For this sum, the contractor is to supply 51 windscreen, rear and side windows by 31 December 2026.
The contract was awarded to the company «Nika Voskresinnia Glass». It has been operating for almost four years and has a registered capital of 2.7 million hryvnias, according to data from the YouControl analytical system. Its main area of activity is non-specialised wholesale trade. The company’s director and accountant is Yurii Kolmykov. In 2026, the company secured contracts totalling 65.1 million hryvnias.
The company announced a second tender for the purchase of glass in May, and the process of submitting tender bids is currently underway. The contractor was also required to supply 35 units of glass by the end of the year. The current estimated cost is 1.2 million hryvnias.
It is worth noting that prior to this, the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivelektrotrans» had purchased glass worth 3.3 million hryvnias. As the company informed NikVesti, it will be used in the event of shelling or accidents involving transport.
«We are purchasing this glass for our rolling stock. Following the latest shelling, in addition to our buildings, the warehouse where spare glass was stored was damaged. This includes windscreens for trolleybuses and side windows for trams. That is why we announced a tender. This is a planned purchase; we will select the glass as and when we need it,» said Yurii Smetana, director of «Mykolaivelectrotrans».
As a reminder, Mykolaiv will receive a further nine trolleybuses funded by a grant — the city council has approved a supplementary agreement with the EBRD.
