Vitalii Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, has promised that once the war is over, Kobleve will not only be rebuilt but made even better than it was before the full-scale invasion.

He made this statement in the comments section of a TikTok video, in which a user named Free biker showed what the once-popular holiday resort now looks like.

In the clip, the author showed closed and damaged holiday resorts, cafés and other establishments, as well as anti-tank hedgehogs, barbed-wire fences and warning signs. The Kobleve coastline remains closed due to the risk of landmines.

The video also features a music track with the voice of Ukrainian club MC and entertainer Serhii Rybik (MC Rybik).

«I’m glad my voice inspires you! See you soon!» wrote MC Rybik in the comments on the author’s post.

The video’s creator replied that he associates this track with the Kobleve coastline and the «Roza Vetrov» venue.

Following the video’s publication, Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, also commented on it.

«We’ll make everything better than it was! Not long to go now,» he wrote.

His words sparked a strong reaction and a wave of criticism on social media. Some users criticised his optimistic wording and questioned the feasibility and timeframe of the restoration.

«And «a bit» — that’s roughly how long, Vitalii? I’ve been hearing this «a bit» from the very start,» noted one user.

«Two or three weeks?» wrote Eduard.

The situation on the beach in Kobleve

As a reminder, the beaches in Kobleve remain officially closed due to the danger posed by martial law and a potential mine threat. Last year, NikVesti reported that videos from the coast had been appearing on social media since early July , and on 8 July, bloggers published footage showing large numbers of people on the beach, despite the barriers and warning signs.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, police are speaking to the managers of holiday resorts and to holidaymakers themselves, urging them not to breach the restrictions.

In addition, the entrance to the beach has been blocked off and information signs warning of the danger of mines have been put up. Despite this, holidaymakers are finding a small gap between the blocks and climbing through to the coast.

Subsequently, a trench was dug on the beach to definitively prevent people from entering dangerous areas. In the spring of 2026, the beach was also reinforced with concrete tetrapods («hedgehogs») and barbed wire, which block the approach of vehicles from the water’s edge and make it difficult to advance.

In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Kobleve community has lost 123.2 million hryvnias in revenue due to the ban on access to the beaches.
