41 deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council still have not submitted a report on their activities for 2023, despite numerous reminders.

This is evidenced by the data on the reports of deputies, which are published on the official portal of the city council, reports NikVesti.

We will remind that only 10 out of 54 deputies submitted reports on their activities in June. At that time, the secretary of the city council, Dmytro Falko, noted that he had not received any appeals from deputies regarding difficulties with the publication of reports and promised to look into the situation.

After that, only three deputies submitted their reports: Fedir Panchenko from the «Proposition» faction, Nataliia Horbenko and Tetiana Dombrovska from the «Servant of the People» faction.

NikVesti once again asked the secretary of the city council for a comment, Dmytro Falko confirmed that the council's apparatus performs its functions on time, and all received reports were published on the website.

«I can say that the apparatus of the council performs its functions properly. All the reports that are provided to us are all published on the website of the city council. That is, if the deputy does not have a report today, then, accordingly, he simply did not submit it... Deputies, as they say, are in no hurry to report to their voters. Well, I understand that even then at the next elections, probably, the voters will evaluate those deputies,» said Dmytro Falko.

At the same time, he emphasized that not all deputies can submit a report due to the fact that some of them joined the ranks of the Armed Forces.

«There are deputies who joined the ranks of the Armed Forces, for example. And we can understand that they may not have the technical ability and time to pay frequent attention to parliamentary activity, let alone report on it. And there are those who are simply careless about their duties,» noted Dmytro Falko.

It should be noted that only six deputies of the city council submitted their work report for 2022, while all 54 officials reported for 2021.

Dmytro Falko emphasized that before the full-scale invasion, the deputies were more disciplined in reporting. He noted that today there are no tools to influence the situation.

«I do not have any tools of influence to force deputies to do this. These are not schoolchildren who need constant reminders to do their homework,» he said.

According to Article 16 of the Law of Ukraine «On the status of deputies of local councils», deputies are obliged to report on their work to the voters of their electoral district at least once a year. The report should include the main problems of the community, the solution of which the deputy worked on, the progress of the implementation of pre-election promises and information about the deputy's activities in the local council.

According to the current regulations of the Mykolaiv City Council, deputies are obliged to report on their work to the voters at least once a year and submit them for publication to the council's office. To help deputies, by February of each year, the council's staff develops and submits for approval a reporting schedule, which, after acceptance, is posted on the city council's website. Reports must be published no later than 5 days from the moment of providing such information to the council office.
