Renovation of the hospital in Bashtanka: currently, about 10% of the work has been completed

As of November 2024, 10% of the reconstruction of the polyclinic building of the Bashtan multidisciplinary hospital was completed, and 12% of the medical building was completed.

This is evidenced by the report on the use of allocated funds from the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression for the implementation of ten projects in the Mykolaiv region, which is at the disposal of NikVesti.

In the building of the polyclinic, the contractor performed earthworks for the arrangement of pits, compaction of the soil with crushed stone and concrete preparation, and poured the foundation slab. Currently, out of 146.3 million hryvnias allocated from the state budget, 32.5 million hryvnias have already been paid to the contractor. And 13 million hryvnias worth of work was completed.

At the same time, in the building of the medical building, the contractor performed earthworks for the arrangement of pits, compaction of the soil with crushed stone and concrete preparation, poured the foundation slab and concrete columns. Currently, out of 104.7 million hryvnias allocated from the state budget, 35.7 million hryvnias have already been paid to the contractor. And works worth 8.7 million hryvnias were completed.

At the same time, the remaining unused funds as of December 31, 2024, which were allocated this year from the state budget for the implementation of projects in the Mykolayiv region, will be returned to the state budget.

Restoration of Bashtanka Hospital after shelling

As you know, at the end of August 2024, the Department of Town Planning, Architecture, Capital Construction and Project Support of the Mykolaiv Oblast concluded two contracts for the reconstruction of the buildings of the Bashtanka Multidisciplinary Hospital.

Prior to this, RMA had already announced a tender for the reconstruction of the building of the medical building and the polyclinic building of the Bashtanka Multidisciplinary Hospital in 2023. At that time, the total amount of work was 311 million hryvnias. However, journalists found out that the prices of construction materials turned out to be higher than market prices, and the State Audit Service of Ukraine conducted an inspection.

On April 19, 2022, a multidisciplinary hospital in Bashtanka was hit by a rocket. As a result of the attack, the polyclinic building was damaged, and two departments of the hospital were partially damaged.

Mykolaiv RMA has announced a tender for the reconstruction of the building of the medical building of the Bashtanka multidisciplinary hospital. The works were estimated at 139.7 million hryvnias. Previously, a tender was also announced for the repair of the roof of one of the hospital buildings.

In June 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 45.3 million hryvnias for the reconstruction of the building of the medical building of the hospital in Bashtanka. Another 86.8 million hryvnias were planned to be allocated to the reconstruction of the polyclinic.

Subsequently, the government allocated 251 million 107 thousand hryvnias for the reconstruction of the partially destroyed Bashtanka multidisciplinary hospital in 2024.

In general, the Mykolaiv RMA was supposed to spend 311 million hryvnias on the reconstruction of the hospital in Bashtanka, but the prices of building materials turned out to be higher than the market prices.

At the same time, thanks to cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the surgical department of the multidisciplinary hospital in Bashtankas began to be restored.
