Bridges were restored in two communities in Mykolaiv Oblast: they were destroyed as a result of Russian shelling

Two more bridges, destroyed as a result of Russian aggression, were put into operation in two communities of the Mykolaiv region.

This was reported in the Mykolayiv RMA.

One of the bridges was restored in less than a month in the Shevchenkove community. This is a 12-meter long, restored by the 1st separate brigade named after Kniaz Lev of the DSST.

Previously, it was available only for cars, but now also for trucks. It became the 22nd fully restored bridge.

«This bridge will greatly simplify logistics for our business. This is a good example of the joint work of RMA, donors, the military and the big business of the region, which also joined in the recovery. I have said more than once that we are really ready to help in every possible way those who work for the economy of Mykolaiv Oblast, and we are doing it,» said the head of RMA Vitalii Kim.

In addition, the 30-meter-long Inhulets main canal in Snihurivka region was officially put into operation. It was restored in less than three months by servicemen of the 36th Konotop road rehabilitation brigade of the State Railways of Ukraine.

Prior to that, in February, work on the construction of a bridge across the Ingulets River between the settlements of Snihurivka and Horokhivka communities was also completed.

«For this, pontoons from the former crossings of the Snihurivka region, which were blown up by the occupiers in 2022, were used. This is the bonus bridge that used to be pedestrian-only, but now it has become accessible for transport as well,» Vitalii Kim said.

In January, a rebuilt bridge across the Inhulets River was opened in the Horokhivka community of the Mykolaiv region.

We will remind, in December Vitalii Kim said that 19 bridges out of 20 that were damaged due to Russian shelling were restored in the Mykolaiv region.

Previously, an 84-meter-long bridge crossing over the Inhulets River was rebuilt in the Horokhivka community of the Mykolaiv region in five months. Vitalii Kim said that it was the penultimate bridge that needed to be restored.

We will remind that the Service for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure in the Mykolaiv Oblast (reformed SAD, — note) already announced this year tenders for the repair of two bridges on the highway «Kalynivka — Snihurivka». We are talking about road segments km 2+398 for 220 million 478 thousand 809 hryvnias (the Kalynivka bridge, which was blown up on March 2, 2022 during the next wave of Russian offensive) and km 36+483 for 113 million 944 thousand 813 hryvnias.

The State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure noted that a total of 6 bridges were destroyed in the Mykolaiv region. In 2023 , two bridges near the de-occupied Snigurivka in Mykolaiv Oblast are planned to be overhauled. The cost of the works is 300 million 792 thousand 500 hryvnias.
