The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, believes that the Russians will continue to fire at the energy infrastructure, and called on Mykolaiv residents to prepare for a difficult winter.

He announced this in his video message.

As you know, Mykolaiv and 70% of the region have been without electricity for more than a day after another attack by Russian troops on the city's power system, which took place on the night of November 28.

«I understand your emotions, especially that I have open comments. I can read everything you write. But we have only one enemy — Russia. It is because of them that we do not have light now. I don't think this will be the last such attack, so get ready, we have a tough winter ahead of us. And we experienced more serious problems together and supported each other,» said Oleksandr Sienkevych.

The mayor noted that the situation is really difficult, but the city's energy workers are working to restore energy supply. He added that the city's utility services are working to provide the city with water and heat, but much depends on the restoration of the power supply.

«Mykolaiv has been without electricity for the second day due to an attack by the Russians on the power system. The accident is really serious and our power engineers are doing everything and looking for solutions to restore the power supply. Our utility services are on the ground, we work to provide the city with both heat and water. There are some problems, don't forget that all this work also depends on electricity,» Oleksandr Sienkevych said.

In addition, despite the power outage, a number of measures have been implemented in Mykolaiv to ensure stable life.
