On Friday, 17 January, Alleys of Glory were opened in the villages of Lupareve, Lymany and Halytsynove of the Halytsynove community in honour of the fallen military residents of the hromada.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the Halytsynove community.
The ceremony was attended by the community leadership, families of the fallen soldiers and concerned villagers. The attendees honoured the memory of the victims with a minute of silence. A prayer service and the blessing of the memorial sites were also held.
«These Alleys of Glory will be a testament to the fact that we remember, honour and will always be grateful to our defenders. Eternal memory to our Heroes! Low bow to the families of the victims! It is our duty to the fallen Heroes and their families to honour and remember those who died in the struggle for freedom and independence of Ukraine», added Halytsynove village head Ivan Nazar.
As a reminder, on 1 October 2024, on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, the Walk of Fame was inaugurated in Mykolaiv in memory of the fallen Ukrainian military. Banners with portraits of about 600 fallen heroes were installed near the destroyed building of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
